Verifynd
Asurint’s Verifynd product serves as the basis for our IQLogics criminal record search process. The Social Security number (SSN) is matched against a third-party source, such as a credit bureau or property/public utility database, to find any associated historical name and address history and the date the SSN was last reported in use.
The addresses are used to focus the criminal search method by supplying the most efficient and effective search path based on the results of the address search. In this process, names are used to narrow or expand the recommended searches reported by supplying alias name information, such as maiden names.
I-9
We partner with Form I-9 Compliance to offer a fully automated web-based system to help with the completion, signature, storage and tracking of I-9 forms. Our teams work together to offer you a completely paperless I-9 process. We approach this service offering the same as any other process. We start with understanding your procedures and pain points and then work with you to identify areas to streamline work and fill compliance gaps. We work alongside the Form I-9 Compliance team to onboard, track, monitor compliance updates and support our clients throughout their search needs. The search must be conducted post-hire, within three days of the employee's start date.
E-Verify
Asurint partners with Form I-9 Compliance to provide E-Verify accessibility from initial planning to successful implementation. The search instantly confirms an individual’s eligibility to work in the U.S., including citizens and nationals of the U.S. and aliens authorized to work. It also provides an instant electronic validation of your newly hired employee’s Social Security Number.
This information is verified by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA).
Not all employers are legally required to conduct an E-Verify search. If using this service, it should be conducted post-hire and not be used in a discriminatory manner.
Consent Based Social Security Verification (CBSV)
CBSV verifies whether a name and SSN combination matches the data in the SSA records. Outside of an I-9 verification and E-Verify, this is the only method available to validate a candidate’s SSN. CBSV does not verify identity of citizenship or right to work in the United States.
The matching elements include:
- Social Security number
- Name
- Date of birth
- Gender code, if available
Each SSN and name combination submitted to CBSV will be returned with a “yes” or “no” verification code indicating that the submission either matches or does not match the SSA records. If applicable, a death indicator will be reported when the records reflect that the SSN holder is deceased.
